Dr. Albert Gomez, M.D. is a certified civil surgeon. The Department of Homeland Security has approved the offices of Meridian Medical Group Professional Corporation under the direction of Dr. Gomez, to perform immigration medical examinations.
The Immigration Medical Office Visit Includes:
- Complete Medical History
- Review of Medications
- Screening for drug and Alcohol Abuse
- Mental Status Evaluation
- Physical Examination
- Blood Test for RPR, Quantiferon (tuberculosis)
- Urine test for GC/Chamydia
- Chest X-ray Referral (when indicated )
Special Medical Waiver Evaluations
A medical waiver is a comprehensive mental status report prepared by the civil surgeon for submission to the Department of Homeland Security to specifically document evidence of a memory or learning impairment. The report may waive the required written or oral civics examinations based on proof of mental incapacity.
