However, there are certain factors that may mean that you are recommended to have them earlier – from the late 30’s into the 40’s. While it is not a fun procedure, prostate exams are an important part of keeping your health in check.

There are several types of prostate exams; however the two most common types are the digital rectal exam (DRE) and the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test.
